The title of the link says it all.  The University of Florida is proposing to eliminate its Computer Science department entirely and dump the research faculty in favor of a rump “teaching unit”.  This is an awful proposal.

This is going to be a long year.  Probably three or four, even, as the Sox first look for an MLB-level front office and then rebuild the player development/evaluation system.

If the EZ can’t keep the smaller AAA-rated countries from bolting, it might get a little crazy.

When somebody tells you that the iPhone didn’t completely upend smartphones, send them this.

This has been going around a lot.  I guess the point is that you can’t see huge disruptions coming because they are surprising.  Everybody who thought it would play out this way invented the iPhone.

The Google+ circles feature doesn’t solve a problem people really have.  What it does instead is:

• Make you do unnecessary work
• Remind you that you didn’t really want to share that/be “friends” with those people anyway.

Unsurprisingly, Everyme gets a terrible review.
